For the home tour this week, Kelly chose guest rooms. Our guest bedroom doubles as a playroom so it gets a lot of use! For those who know me, I like to keep things clutter free, clean, and organized! What do you do with all those toys when you don’t have an actual playroom? I got two large toy bins and put them in there and try to keep them easy to access by Avery while still maintaining some organization in this room. After Christmas and her birthday, toys are overflowing in this room. I removed some of the large ones that remain in front of the mirror for pictures. She likes to look at herself while she plays with the big standing toys (not shown) which we use to block her from getting near the mirror as well. We try to be as functional as possible with this space but I’m so looking forward to when we move because we’ll have a separate playroom and hopefully a guest house. Our thinking is if we have a guest house, our city friends (you know who you are) may come visit us folks in the country for a weekend getaway
sometimes. I know our family will come visit regardless.

And the other side:

We got these sculptures in Jamaica at Dunn’s Falls. They are about 3 inches tall. A Jamaican man carved them for us. I guess one is supposed to be me and the other Scott. Ha! I like to bring a piece of culture/art back from all our travels. They are reminders of our lives and where we’ve been.

Guest Bathroom:

I like the glass tiles. They look pretty when the light reflects off of them.
